August 12, 2024 - Community leaders from Filipino Community of Sacramento and Vicinity (FCSV), Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) Sacramento-Delta Chapter, FAME: Filipino Alliance for Multicultural Empowerment, LEAD Filipino, Gabriella, Northern California Pilipinix American Student Alliance, FANHS (Southern California Leadership), Dave Tamayo, SMUD Board of Directors and Glenn Amboy, Vallejo Educator attended California Assembly Session to support the passage of House Resolution 112 which recognizes the contributions of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans and declared October 2024 as Filipino History Month.  HR 112 was sponsored by Assemblyman Alex Lee.  We thank all the Filipino Leaders who spoke today and especially Assemblyman Lee for all his efforts to pass HR 112.  It passed with 74 votes.
